Old Klang Road

Fatty Bak Kut Teh & Steamed Fish Head You may pass a debilitated trio of daichow-like stalls as you speed down Old Klang Road. Our advice: stop and sup instead. Previously open from six in the evening till 5am, they've now extended their opening hours to accommodate the early-risers.

Each is a different station: one stall takes care of the bak kut teh, another the stir-fry dishes, and the third their famous Cantonese-style steamed fish head. Overseeing the entire operation is a rather rotund gentleman (usually clad in a white singlet) from whom the shop gets its unmistakably accurate name: Fatty Bak Kut Teh & Steamed Fish Head. The fish head (RM30 and above) is available three different ways: steamed with ginger, soy sauce or cili padi.

Restoran Hoo Bian Bak Kut

Restoran Hoo Bian Bak Kut Teh, Seri Kembangan. The yellow wine cook pork livers and pork kidneys so nice. My wife is pork kidney lovers. The pork liver just well cook, not over cooked. Personally i taste the yellow wine soup not very strong taste or thick enough.

The dry bak kut teh also having lady finger very prefect match cause it can absorb the sauce. The bak kut teh soup also having the pork neck meat, which is very popular at Lieong Kee Bae Bak Kut Teh at Kepong but they u need to special order. In here they provide few pieces for you. If you order mix pork type. https://waze.to/lr/hw283

Cheap Bak Kut Teh

Very Cheap Bak Kut Teh at Geylang, Singapore. The bak kut teh here has one of the nicer and sweeter soup. The pork ribs are tender and juicy and can see that the stall owner should have cook this dish for several hours as they meat has really turned into dark brown colour.

Lots of black pepper seeds are added in the soup which make it tastes slighty spicy but yet really shiok. The soup base is more towards the darker version which I believe they have use quite alot of dark soya sauce in it. The portion is quite big and generous and with a big bowl of rice serve with it.

Bak Kut Teh

While Yat Hing claims to serve good bak kut teh, it was the sambal fish that rocked my boat. The bak kut teh was just decent – light broth but a strong herbal flavour.

I reckon this is how the locals here eat their bak kut teh.The sambal fish was good stuff. More than just spicy, the sambal paste was sweet, savoury, tangy and aromatic from the addition of lime leaves.Yat Hing A4852, Lrg Seri Kuantan 25, 25250 Kuantan, Pahang Tel: 09-568 8644 / 012-218 5893 / 012-989 5614

Bak Kut Teh

Tanjung Sepat Day Trip. This is the first time we tried seafood Bak Kut Teh so we made a mistake when we ordered. In fact, we wanted to try seafood in traditional herbal soup but the owner prepared one bowl of traditional soup with pork and one bowl of seafood in spicy soup respectively.

To be frank, in my humble opinion, there's nothing to shout about the bak kut teh. Restoran Yikee Seafood Bak Kut Teh 裕记海鲜肉骨茶. Jalan Besar (Jalan Pasar), 42800 Tanjung Sepat, Selangor.

Steamed Fish Head

Fatty Porridge, OUG. It's a stall located inside a kopitiam restaurant called Restoran Double Nine and the stall is only open for dinner and supper. This stall actually serves more than Frog Porridge.

I heard the steamed fish head is also good but I have never got the chance to try it yet. Since it's an open style street seating kind of place, please don't expect air conditioning. Just dress casually, take a seat and enjoy.
