Fish head curry is a dish in Singaporean and Malaysian cuisine with Indian and Chinese origins. The head of a red snapper is semi-stewed in a Kerala-style curry with assorted vegetables such as okra and eggplants. This spicy dish is a scintillating stew of curry cooked with vegetables and of course, the whole head of a fish.

Yong Tau Foo
Restaurant Yong Tau Foo Chen Chen is located at the end the shop lot in Bukit Rahman Putra, just behind a mamak stall. Obviously, from the restaurant name, it is specialised in Yong Tau Foo (minced pork and fish that stuff into veggie). It offers Full range of “yong” stuff like Brinjal, Bitter Gourd, Lady Finger, Chilli, Fried Foo Fu Chuk, Tau Fu, Dumpling and Bean Curd. Beside Yong Tau Foo, it also offers Fish Head Curry, Assam Kampung Fish, Steam Fish..etc. There are plenty of tables here, so normally no need to wait for any queue. Parking is not an issue as well as there are plenty car park near by. We have ordered 17 pieces mixture of Yong Tau Foo. Bean Curd and Fu Chuk are fried while Tau Fu, Lady Finger, Butter Gourd and Dumpling are in soup. The Yong Tau Foo here are just normal for

Food Eat In Kepong
Best Restaurants & Food to Eat in Kepong. DOUBLE SEVEN NIGHT ‘DAI CHAO' 孖柒夜市大炒. Double Seven's dai chao stall has been our go-to place for whenever we feel like having a proper meal, yet won't put a dent in the wallet. The Fish Head Curry here is a favorite of mine and it's also available in Toman fish slices.
For RM20 you get a generous serving with loads of vege thrown in, so much so that you don't even need to order a separate vege dish. Other recommended dishes include lemon chicken, salted egg squid and kangkung belacan. Restoran Double Seven, Jalan 3/36, Taman Sri Bintang.

So it's said that this place is known for it's frog dishes. Tried a plate of their Kung Pao Frog which sure was flavourful! Well, it being kung pao, one would expect it to be full of taste anyway. Cooked in a dark sauce, this dish contains lots of capsicums, onions, dried chilli, hazelnuts and frog chunks. You should try this salty and spicy dish. I'm not a fan of frog meat but cut up and cooked this way, I managed to convince myself that it's okay.

Food Court
Among the list of heritage hawker food stalls in Singapore, Sungei Road Laksa is well known among laksa lovers, and it has an interesting story behind it and how they obtained their recipe from a customer who then disappeared. The stall has been serving laksa for decades in the same way – the curry is cooked in an aluminum curry pot over charcoal. At peak times the line at Sungei Road Laksa can stretch across the food court, although luckily the line goes pretty fast as they only serve one dish with no variations.
