Food Eat In Kepong

Best Restaurants & Food to Eat in Kepong. DOUBLE SEVEN NIGHT ‘DAI CHAO' 孖柒夜市大炒. Double Seven's dai chao stall has been our go-to place for whenever we feel like having a proper meal, yet won't put a dent in the wallet.

The Fish Head Curry here is a favorite of mine and it's also available in Toman fish slices. For RM20 you get a generous serving with loads of vege thrown in, so much so that you don't even need to order a separate vege dish. Other recommended dishes include lemon chicken, salted egg squid and kangkung belacan. Restoran Double Seven, Jalan 3/36, Taman Sri Bintang.

Don't Forget Wash All Down

Petaling Jaya Khunthai Restaurant Been here a couple of times & they never disappoint. Good variety of Thai dishes made with fresh ingredients. Slightly on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. Make sure you start off with their tom yam. Spicy with chock-full of seafood goodies.

Other notable mentions would be the chilli lime or salted egg squid, glass noodle salad, thai style siakap & steamed lala. Heard their other seafood dishes are just as good. Don't forget to wash it all down with their umbra juice. Very fresh & tasty. Great cure for the spice. The overall atmosphere is average. Mostly outdoor wooden seating with plants all around. Cosy but a bit dark & mosquitoes might be a problem at times. Service is average. Food does come out pretty quick.

Vintry Kuala Lumpur Jalan Kasah

Vintry Kuala Lumpur at Jalan Kasah. Finish off your dinner with one of the selected cheeses, mostly French. While the steak was average, the cheese and the way they presented it was really remarkable.

Actually, you didn't feel like having a dinner in Malaysia, it could have been in France or Spain. The place is very cosy, nice decoration, just the wine bottles are all kept in a standing up position and the temperature might not always be the appropriate one. But still it is a very good option if you fancy a dinner with a good bottle of wine.

I guess badminton will always be a part of a Malaysian's life - either watching or playing. Challenger is a sport centre that provides up to 20 badminton courts for rent at a reasonable price per hour.

Do not that it is cheaper during the weekdays because weekends, especially evenings, are usually full. It is best to book a day or two before hand. There are also futsal courts and table tennis available if you feel like having a change from playing badminton.

Fish Head Curry

Fish head curry is a dish in Singaporean and Malaysian cuisine with Indian and Chinese origins. The head of a red snapper is semi-stewed in a Kerala-style curry with assorted vegetables such as okra and eggplants. This spicy dish is a scintillating stew of curry cooked with vegetables and of course, the whole head of a fish.
