Don't Forget Wash All Down
Petaling Jaya Khunthai Restaurant
Been here a couple of times & they never disappoint. Good variety of Thai dishes made with fresh ingredients. Slightly on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. Make sure you start off with their tom yam. Spicy with chock-full of seafood goodies. Other notable mentions would be the chilli lime or salted egg squid, glass noodle salad, thai style siakap & steamed lala. Heard their other seafood dishes are just as good. Don't forget to wash it all down with their umbra juice. Very fresh & tasty. Great cure for the spice.
The overall atmosphere is average. Mostly outdoor wooden seating with plants all around. Cosy but a bit dark & mosquitoes might be a problem at times. Service is average. Food does come out pretty quick.

Food Eat In Kepong

Food Eat In Kepong
Best Restaurants & Food to Eat in Kepong. DOUBLE SEVEN NIGHT ‘DAI CHAO' 孖柒夜市大炒. Double Seven's dai chao stall has been our go-to place for whenever we feel like having a proper meal, yet won't put a dent in the wallet. The Fish Head Curry here is a favorite of mine and it's also available in Toman fish slices.
For RM20 you get a generous serving with loads of vege thrown in, so much so that you don't even need to order a separate vege dish. Other recommended dishes include lemon chicken, salted egg squid and kangkung belacan. Restoran Double Seven, Jalan 3/36, Taman Sri Bintang.

Deep fried squid with salted egg yolks - still can eat the squid textures not like other only eat flours. Curry fish head RM 25 using grouper fish head, most of the dishes can eat and not much MSG (not like Restoran Yee Sang Fatt - so much MSG) but place a bit dirty only. Imagine after dinner can have some Ancestral Recipe Black Sesame Paste or Steamed Egg Custard or Peanut Paste.

Chopped Spring Onions

Chopped Spring Onions
At Tokyo Street, Pavilion KL. Tokyo Teppan and Tokyo Don have the exact same menu, though one shop is cosier while the other has more room – it's just up to the diner to choose. Our most favourite dish here is the surume ika no sugatayaki (grilled squid, RM29), topped with minced radish, fried garlic, and chopped spring onions, then plated with grilled shrimp and a salad too! Find yourself trying your best to soak up the soy sauce, while savouring every morsel of tender grilled squid. Finish off your meal with Tokyo Teppan's light and floral lavender ice cream (RM9), you won't regret it!

Tuck Kee

Tuck Kee
The list would not be complete without Tuck Kee which is another fried noodle specialist. Though its name is synonymous to the best ‘Wat Dan Hor' of Ipoh, personally Tuck Kee is more than just that one dish. All their variety of fried noodles are at the level best and irresistibly yummy. Serves only at dinner time, do factor in some waiting time when you go to Tuck Kee. While you are waiting, you can also try their appetizer such as steam squid and braised chicken feet that are yummy too. Location:
61, Yau Tet Shin, 30300, Ipoh, Perak.
