Fried Oyster OmeletteThis stall, located in the Sin Guat Keong Coffee Shop, serves the dish that is also known as 'oh-chien.' At RM8 a plate, a generous amount of egg and large-sized oysters in sweet potato starch are served. It is topped with parsley and usually eaten with chilli sauce.

You can also order it at RM12 and RM16. Opening hours: 5 to 10 p.m., daily (closed Tuesdays every fortnight)

Melaka Food, Fried Oysters. Oh yeah, it's called “fried oyster omelet” too – due to the big amount of eggs. Oysters are fresh and although not big in size, the generous amount makes up for it.

Fried beef vermicelli. It's served warm with generous amount of crushed peanuts and vege. You will like it if you like asian spice /herbs taste and peanuts. Else you will get bored with the taste after half bowl.

Although we stayed in Tapah for two nights, we never missed our main meals by driving to Kampar which is just 18 km away. Having heard of its famous food we decided to try the famous Kam Ling curry chicken in bread. True to its reputation, we were not disappointed when it comes to taste.

The curry gravy was rich with a generous amount of coconut milk. It was not too spicy and it really goes down well with the soft bread which is a little bit sweetish. We ordered a small version which is more than adequate to feast 4 adults. We also ordered fried "wantan" and "sui kow" in soup.
