Black Glutinous Rice

Gastro Bar, Pan-seared sous-vide chicken similarly takes its cues from both West & East, partnered not only with pancetta & pumpkin puree but recast with a creamy-starchy risotto of black glutinous rice & a reduction of black chicken & traditional Chinese herbs (RM38).

Lower Ground Floor

My girlfriend introduced to me Jonker Sweets Dessert stall some time ago and I have been hooked since. The stall is located at Lower Ground floor Gardens Mall. It has my all time favorite tong sui - black glutinous rice or hak lo mai.

They also have a variety of other tong sui, ice kacang and fruit lolo (ice shavings topped with fresh fruits and sago). Tong sui is priced at MYR 3.30 a bowl. Fruit lolo starts from MYR 6.50 onwards and they have a few varieties to choose from. I would say that the price is decent for the serving size and in a shopping mall.

Bak Kwa Products

Xi Shi Bak Kwa, or Cecilia Minced Pork is a local joint that not many like to share. They are best known for infusing traditional Chinese herbs in all of their bak kwa products that aid in boosting blood circulation.

Grab a bite of their famed Monascus bak kwa when you're here. Monascus, also known as red yeast rice, is believed to hold cholesterol lowering properties, which is the perfect balance to the artery clogging jerky we love.

Teddy Santis' Aime Leon Dore label is only a few years old, but it's evolved quickly into a full-on lifestyle collection, including a few pairs of clean, accessibly-priced designer kicks. The Q44 takes cues from some of Santis' favorite trainers, fusing the spirit of the Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 1 into a minimal, unbranded suede upper on a cemented rubber sole.

The cow lining on the inside keeps the luxurious vibe of the shoes intact.

Best Car

The Best Car Interior Available for Under $30,000 Is in a Mazda In Touring and Grand Touring 3s, a flip-up screen atop the instruments places vehicle speed right in the driver's sightline, while a large central tachometer dominates the cluster. The navigation-and-entertainment unit takes its cues from luxury cars, with a bright, seven-inch center screen parked high on the dash and controlled via an intuitive knob on the console, or, if you prefer, by tapping the screen itself.Mazda's interior décor is well-wrought, clean yet interesting, and has just enough detailing to feel upscale but not overdone, much like the 3 as a whole.

It'd still be a good car if it had a simpler—and cheaper—cabin, but the fact that it doesn't is, in part, what makes the 3 such a winner.

Bacon & Brews does a deft job at creating food that looks very good (assured to attract the social media crowd), casting the limelight on pork in enterprising ways - the Fat Rice (RM18.90) features Japanese grains infused with pork lard sauce & topped with onsen tamago, partnered with a sous-vide chicken roulade, crispy-fried shallots & bacon bits, while the Teriyaki Ribs (RM28.90) takes on eight-hour-cooked baby back pork ribs, glazed & torched with an apple-tinged sauce, accompanied by a garlic mash, caramelised pineapples & bacon bits.

BBQ Chicken. Honestly I went into BBQ Chicken because of its advertisement from cutie oppa Lee Jong Suh and Miss A Suzy (well I am a K-drama fans). Other than chicken, it does offer really good foods such as mushroom soup, seafood pasta, lamb burger, Korean Charbroiled fried rice, Korean Charbroiled Tortilla, ice cream with brownie, etc.

For lighter taste, it offers healthy meals like Korean Charbroiled salads and Sous-Vide Chicken Steak. It currently provides lunch promotion with RM15.90 for a meal and drink. It is definitely your heaven if you are a chicken fans!
