Chocolate Peanut Butter
Who ever goes to the Marmalade Pantry, Singapore without trying their desserts? Their Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake ($12) and Banana Fosters Crepe ($12) are good choices. Their handmade peanut butter ice cream deserves a special mention; I felt like I was eating peanut butter in ice cream form, if that makes sense.

White Wine
Marmalade Pantry, Singapore. The Braised Veal Cheek ($34) was exceedingly fragrant and falls apart nicely, having been braised with white wine, veal juice and cinnamon for 4-6 hours. However, what impressed me most was the pomme puree (finely milled potatoes folded with cream, butter and truffle oil), which was so yummy I found myself wishing I could ask the chef for seconds.

Place Go
If you're looking for a hearty Christmas brunch, this The Marmalade Pantry, Singapore is the place to go. There is a modern, contemporary vibe to Oasia Hotel's outlet which I find refreshing compared to overdone cafe-style decor. Another bonus would be escaping the claustrophobic Christmas crowds on Orchard road! This meal was love at first bite. The thick and creamy Bourbon Pumpkin Soup with Ricotta & Chestnut Ravioli ($10) is truly comfort food for the soul, with the ravioli's ricotta cheese bursting inside your mouth for deliciously cheesy bite.
