Definitely Come Back Again

1 Utama (One Utama) Shopping Centre Pasta Zanmai Cuisines Western It's a very fresh concept. I liked it very much. The ambiance is cosy and warm. The menu is extensive from pasta to desserts and the beverages all looked so yummy. I would definitely come back again but then again the price is not that cheap enough to be coming back once a week!

Nice environment, reasonable priced and quality foods. Wide variety of desserts. A restaurant by Rakuzen Japanese Food Chain. The food is great and I'm sure I'll be paying them a visit again (of which I did but they were closing) but I am still unable to fathom why people would queue up just to dine at Pasta Zanmai outlets.

South East Asian

Ever since I first discovered the sous-vide technique back in 2012, one of the very first application that came into my mind was that it'd be perfect for making kaya - a rich, aromatic South East Asian coconut custard jam that is a common breakfast staple in Malaysia and Singapore. It is amazing with buttered toast and a common filling in South East Asian desserts. Kaya is made with 3 easily accessible ingredients: coconut milk, eggs and sugar.

Although optional, it's best cooked with pandan (screw pine) leaves to impart a lovely, distinct aroma. From memory, traditional methods of making kaya is pretty laborious and unpredictable - it involves hours of careful monitoring and manual stirring of the mixture cooked in a double boiler. Leaving it to cook itself for 5 minutes is

1 Utama (One Utama) Shopping Centre Sushi Groove Cuisines Japanese Beautified with lights: dimmed; and the greenish theme creates a restful environment for the eye! A definite nice and relaxing place for friends to meet and have lunch indeed! Good place for couples too! Will revisit Sushi Groove again for sure... next time...

A fusion restaurant that boosts appetite responses! Thought that they should have a wider range of other Japanese foods too... even more variety of desserts and drinks maybe?? Well maybe I would just warn my friends from a bad dinner at this place anyway. I am not sure bout the rest of the food. But from the three dishes which we had just tried, well let's just say, it's not the best I had.

Kuantan food. There are two famous Cendol places to go to in Kuantan; one in town (Cendol Air Putih), and one on the way to the beach.

My personal favorite place is the latter (its closer to my house), Mustafa Cendol. It's been around ever since I was a young girl, and my dad used to bring me here at least once a week. Other than its variety of cendol, you can opt for other ice desserts like ABC (Air Batu Campur – shaved ice.
