Xin Quan Fang

Ipoh has so much good food that it is really impossible for me to have normal white bread for breakfast everyday. I started our day eating the famous curry noodles at Restaurant Xin Quan Fang (or the locals call it Ma Ta Liu curry mee). Our bowl of noodles arrived with a side of roasted pork, char siew, prawns and chicken seated on top of a bed of blanched bean sprouts.

Dip it into the curry sauce, oh man, it is sooooo shiok. I don't think they have any coconut milk added, the curry was very delicious with lard and garlic. The braised roast pork is from their own recipe and cannot find anywher

Dry Curry Mee

Restoran Xin Quan Fang (新泉芳咖哩面) If you are a fan of Curry Mee, Restoran Xin Quan Fang is another trademark you should not miss. Serving both soup and dry curry mee, people usually eat it together with ingredients such as the steamed chicken, roasted pork, prawns etc.

One of the elevating factors has to be the special chili dip which is somewhat lip-smacking. You must have the patience if you decide to come here as it may take you up to 1 hour until your curry mee is served. Location: 174, Jalan Sultan Iskandar, 30000 Ipoh, Perak,

Curry Chee Cheong Fun

Restoran Chee Cheong Fun in Johor Bahru. The curry chee cheong fun was an absolute joy.

The rice noodles themselves are cut thinner and almost looked and tasted like hor fun instead. The curry sauce was simple, and somehow, it is such simplicity that usually surprises and delights me.

Passed Down Through The Generations

Golden Pillow is uniquely designed to be soft like a pillow, wrapping its savory curry while keeping the strong aroma in the loaf. Once the bread is peeled off, the curry sauce fills the bread and the aromatic flavour is simply irresistible.Using a traditional recipe passed down through the generations, every aspect of the curry preparation is well thought, with the right amount of time, without compromising on quality.

Nice Eat Food Centre Bandar

928 Nice To Eat Food Centre @ Bandar Puteri, Puchong As the final dish, my order which was a bowl of Curry Mee arrived. There's been so much positive write up on this Curry Mee which I saw at the stall and I was literally praying that my meal at least, should be nice. Priced at RM 6.30 for the large bowl, this Curry Mee however was good, in fact it was quite good.

All the essential ingredients were there and it tasted great. Glad I was and I ended up sharing my bowl of noodles with my brother and dad as their meal was pretty much a waste. So far, from the stallls that we tried tonight, this was the best and I would not mind returning for this Curry Mee. I would rate this at 9.1/10 .
