There's been so much positive write up on this Curry Mee which I saw at the stall and I was literally praying that my meal at least, should be nice. Priced at RM 6.30 for the large bowl, this Curry Mee however was good, in fact it was quite good.

All the essential ingredients were there and it tasted great. Glad I was and I ended up sharing my bowl of noodles with my brother and dad as their meal was pretty much a waste. So far, from the stallls that we tried tonight, this was the best and I would not mind returning for this Curry Mee. I would rate this at 9.1/10 .

928 Nice To Eat Food Centre @ Bandar Puteri, Puchong As my brother is a fan of Ikan Bakar, he ordered some Kam Heong Clams and another dish of Ikan Bakar from this stall. The prices were on the high side here, much higher than the prices of similar items in Damansara. Nevertheless, since we were already here, just decided to give them a try. In about 15 minutes, the first dish of Kam Heong Clams were sent over to the table.

By just looking at it, I knew that it was a huge mistake. The Kam Heong Clams were horrible. It was tasteless and we regretted ordering this. I would only rate this at 3/10 . Now I am hoping that the Ikan Bakar would be better.

928 Nice To Eat Food Centre @ Bandar Puteri, Puchong In another 10 minutes, the Ikan Bakar Kembung arrived. For the size, the price of RM 6.00 was definitely expensive. The first bite and it was another major regret. The fish was charred all over and it was such a horrible taste.

The taste was off too and it felt like I was chewing on rubber. I would rate this Ikan Bakar at 2/10 . The accompanying so called Spicy Sauce was another horror. It tasted like tap water and I would only rate it at 1/10 . Definitely a big NO for this stall.

Alor Akar Seafood Restaurant Kuantan. Curry grouper fish head. Even fish head but still a lot of meat. The fish meat so hard almost like chicken meat.

Fish skin is crunchy. Not so much MSG, still can taste the fish taste. My father like it so much. He said this one bowl curry fish head enough for one meal with rice.

Chan Meng Kee, SS2 Curry Laksa with Char Siew. They also make decent char siew which came with my bowl of curry laksa (RM7.50 – regular).

Granted the laksa broth isn't the best I've tasted, it was a good accompaniment to the wantan noodles and char siew. The laksa came with tender pieces of fried pig's skin, wantan and tofu puff; substantial enough to feed a large eater.

I can recommend you Mee Ikan. This is how it look like, fish noodles. A bowl of noodles and the soup like prawn noodles in KL but more tasty with great fish taste and serve with separately fish that boiled and eat with a bit dry shrimp chili paste.

Skip the McDonalds and Starbucks in Teluk Chempedak and make your way to Restoran Hoi Yin by the hillside to sample one of the best curry mee in town. The aromatic curry is packed with all the goodness a bowl of noodles has to offer, from fresh cockles to generous amounts of tofu.

Ipoh has so much good food that it is really impossible for me to have normal white bread for breakfast everyday. I started our day eating the famous curry noodles at Restaurant Xin Quan Fang (or the locals call it Ma Ta Liu curry mee). Our bowl of noodles arrived with a side of roasted pork, char siew, prawns and chicken seated on top of a bed of blanched bean sprouts.

Dip it into the curry sauce, oh man, it is sooooo shiok. I don't think they have any coconut milk added, the curry was very delicious with lard and garlic. The braised roast pork is from their own recipe and cannot find anywher
