Dual Clutch Gearbox

1.2liter turbocharged direct injection unit is now coupled to a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox or DSG which Volkswagen likes to call it. It now makes 105ps and 175Nm of torque. The 1.6liter engine and gearbox are carried over from the Polo Sedan and are called the Volkswagen Vento Trendline and Comfortline respectively.

Wait. 105Ps sounds like it makes the same like the older 1.6liter engine. Well it is but the more basic 1.6 makes less torque – 153Nm.

Dual Clutch Transmission

It's been seven years since its initial release so the 2017 Porsche Panamera was due for some revisiting. The second gen Panamera fortifies the car's raison d'être of luxurious comfort with sports car performance, the latter thanks to three new biturbo direct injection engines: a V8 delivering 550hp in the Turbo, a V6 producing 440hp for the 4S, and a 422hp V8 diesel in the 4S Diesel.

All can be coupled to permanent all wheel drive and a new eight speed dual clutch transmission.

Dual Clutch Gearbox

Driving it is a cinch around town. At city speeds and in traffic the car is easy to pilot. The car may be a full sized car but everything feels easy when you're driving it.

The dual clutch gearbox (or DSG in Audi talk) is smooth and for most parts pretty smooth for a DSG. You can feel a slight DSG low speed judder only on steeper gradients like when you're accelerating after stopping on a slope. There may be some transmission shunt if you're in Sports mode when the transmission shifts down a little too quickly but aside from this the DSG works fine in almost all the times I drove the Audi A6.

Topshop Petite skinny jeans cut with a super high waist and back pocket detail. Love these? Shop all high waisted Joni jeans here. 65% cotton, 31% polyester, 4% elastane. Machine washable.

I've heard mostly good reviews about these jeans so went and brought them. However i find them to have been a waste. The colour faded after the first wash and the stretch went in them not long after. This now makes them a pain to wear. Im not sure if it was just a bad pair that i brought but its made me think twice about buying them again

Provide Better

Going into the cabin, you'd expect the Proton Iriz to feel roomier, given the exterior size. It is not as spacious as we would like it to be but it makes up for the lack of spaciousness with uncluttered arrangement of the buttons, knobs, air-cond vents and instrument panel.

Not only that, overall quality seems to have improved, as evidenced by the sturdy plastic used on the dashboard as well as the buttons and knobs, which provide better tactile feel over previous models. Insulation is also done well with the wind noise kept at a minimum level most of time. That said, whining noise from the CVT is still annoyingly audible.

Makes Whole Lot

I think the ride is a little bit busier than the 15 inch setup but I can notice the difference in grip in the corners and also on the high speed runs on the highway. It also allows you to take more advantage of the extra torque coming from the turbocharged 1.2liter engine. The Volkswagen Vento now feels a little more alive with the extra torque.

175Nm against 153Nm makes a whole lot of difference. I think this is so much more beneficial than horsepower. Torque is what makes the car feel accelerative and makes overtaking easier.

Little Bit

Now the Volkswagen Vento is actually the Volkswagen Polo Sedan. Volkswagen had decided the name needed to be changed for this facelift.

According to them the reason for this was because they had done quite a bit of facelifting underneath the exterior of the car which gets a little bit more chrome trimming, new bumpers, new headlights, new taillights and new cosmetic bits inside (New, more upmarket looking steering wheel especially).
