Looking at used MPV such as Proton Exora, it is similar in size with the Mazda 5, the difference here being the Exora's cheaper price tag and its innards. Fuel consumption is about 11.1 L/100km.

The Surround View Monitor, Backup Warning System, Rear Camera Display and Parking Assist make it easy to precisely handle this Kia minivan in tight spaces. The Sedona SX and SXL models boast cutting-edge safety amenities such as the Lane Departure Warning System and Smart Cruise Control.

The Carnival has most of the safety gear demanded by today's buyers. All models came standard with dual front airbags and ABS brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, but the EX-L had the added safety of head and side front airbags.

The best of all was the Premium, which also had electronic stability control. The only downside was the lack of three-point seat belts in the centre seating positions in the second and third rows.

Across all New Honda Civic models, the transmission is a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) – however, the CVT of the turbo-charged model has different tuning parameters to provide a ‘sporty' performance. What we drove were the Thailand spec cars, and there are some differences – the turbo has paddles shifters, which we think will be also found in the Malaysian model, while the 1.8 litre model did not have any.

Whether the 1.8 will get the paddle shifters is anybody's guess, but I think that there is a high possibility that it will not, for cost reasons.

After its recent showing at the My Auto Fest 2016 a fortnight ago, UMW Toyota Motor have released official pricing and specifications for the new 2016 Toyota Sienta MPV. There are two model variants on offer – the G at RM92,900, and the top-spec V at RM99,900 – both prices are on-the-road with insurance.

Both models come with the new 1.5-litre 2NR-FE Dual VVT-i engine that produces 107 PS and 143 Nm, mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Standard safety features on both variants include three airbags (driver, passenger and driver's knee), ABS with EBD and brake assist.
