The HTC 10 is here, and it's packing Ultrapixels, Hi-Res Audio, a heap of customization and of course, a premium all metal design. Has the Taiwanese firm done enough to differentiate the 10 from the HTC One M9? HTC 10 is taller and wider than the HTC One M9, Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 6S, and it's also thicker than the Apple and Samsung devices.

The display has been given a boost with the HTC 10 boasting a QHD resolution across 5.2 inches. That's up from the 5-inch, full HD offering on the One M9, and puts the HTC 10 in line with the competition from the Galaxy S7, LG G5 and 4K Sony Xperia Z5 Premium.

iPhone 7 screen The iPhone 7 could be in for a big resolution jump if a DigiTimes source is to be believed, as Apple is apparently likely to move to glass-on-glass screens, which in turn opens up the possibility of a QHD or even a 4K display. A lot of Android phones already have QHD screens, and the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is 4K, so it's possible that Apple will pump up the resolution of its next flagship, but given that the iPhone 6S isn't even 1080p we're sceptical that it'll get anywhere near 4K.

If the iPhone 7 does get higher resolution it might get bigger too, especially as rival phones are growing in size all the time. We're not convinced though – we'd still bet on seeing 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models.

The new Gear VR is light and compact, which lends itself well to extended sessions spent strapped to your face. The original Gear VR only worked with the Galaxy Note 4. The Innovator Edition for the Galaxy S6 worked with the S6, and the S6 Edge.

This time, you've got more options. The phones tuck into a docking port cryptically labeled "A" or "B" -- the 5.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ fit into A, and you'll need to slide the port over to B to fit the 5.1-inch Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 A really bad review IMO. On several counts making unsubstantiated judgements. The Note 5 has the best camera on a phone, no question. Every side-by-side test shows it is better than the other top phones, Sony Z5, LG G4, Nexus 6p, and LG v10. The camera on this phone's one distinction is how NON flat and dull it is.

It is the latest iPhones which consistently have flat and dull images, have a look at any of the side by side's done recently. No idea if this reviewer is on some payroll or is just ignorant, but this review is way off the mark. BTW, I have a nexus 6p. Big fan of Samsung, especially Note series, using Note4, wanted to upgrade to Note5, liked the design and most new features. didnt like that there is no more SD card slot but thats ok. can manage.

Galaxy Note 5, Project Zen leaked with puzzling details It's not unusual for OEMs to venture outside of their comfort zones in search of the perfect pitch. That is especially true for Samsung, who has, at least for the time being, diverged from its usual path with the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. That said, there are some choices that still boggle the mind and confound imagination.
