Hyundai Santa Fe

2005 onwards in KIA Carnivals are ok. as the ones before 2004 only had a small engine which blew up because of the weight of the vehicle.2005 onwards have a heaps bigger engine(Hyundai Santa Fe engine) so can handle the load.

ETA to fix yr model as i just found all my paper work from when my brother worked with Hyundai/KIA

Diesel Engine

Kia Carnivals Driving is a bit difficult But it is big, versatile, practical and serviceable. The diesel engine delivers brisk take-off, strong mid-range response and relaxed cruising.

The MacPherson strut front suspension and rear multi-link design are calibrated to carry up to eight people in comfort. As a result the ride is smooth and cushy on smooth roads but with some thump and shudder over broken edges. Handling is secure enough at normal speeds but it tends to lean and wallow when stretched over secondary roads.

Kia Carnivals I was very wary too and for 4 months looked at 2nd hand Chrysler Grand Voyagers. Took me that long to accept we were not going to get one that had done under just about 70,000kms about 3yrs old and less than $35,000 Bought a 07 Kia Grand Carnival a month ago from an EB'ers dh and so far so good, really enjoying it.

Will PM you his name if you are interested cause his wife should be having her baby about now. HI Jules original.gif
