Fishing by the jetty at night. This lake is reputed to have fish in abundance.

Anticipating that, we brought our own fishing rods and fished 2 consecutive evenings.We even used baits that was recommended by the Belum Rainforest Resort staff but we didn't catch a single fish.

GEM Island Resort. This small private island is not as popular as its neighbour - Kapas Island but it's definitely a hidden gem. Despite being pretty close to the mainland, the water is crystal clear.

A 15-minute boat ride from Marang jetty will get u there. Kayaking in the morning when the sea is calm would be your best bet to look at the corals around the island. You can also opt for snorkeling via boat or just swim from the shore. I stayed at the water villa, the balcony opens up with a view of the beautiful sea facing Kapas Island.

Gaya Island Resort is located 15 mins from Jesselton Jetty by speedboat. We stayed here for 2 nights and wished it was longer. You arrive at Gaya Lounge @ Jesselton Jetty for check in and speedboat transfer. Upon arrival you are greeted with serene beauty of the ocean, clear blue skies...clear waters with little fishes swimming by the jetty and with smiles from staff with a welcome drink.

We stayed at Canopy Villa. Not too far from the main lobby but require a short walk uphill. Note that villas can be a long walk from the main area of lobby, pool and restaurants especially the ones built into the mountains higher up. The villas are all in the same layout with similar amenities. Our villa was king bed, his her sinks , showers and a large bathtub.

This Fish House is located in Pangkor Island on over the first stop on the jetty. In fact this owner have few local guest house in this area.

Pangkor Fish House only starter last year. To get to there you can actually walk but is about 15 mins - 20 mins walk as when you are out of the jetty you will see a local coffee shop.

Johor Park. Tanjung Piai National Park. At the jetty, as the sea breeze blows on your face, take in the panoramic view of ships sailing the Straits of Melaka and the Singapore skyline across the Johor Straits.

As you stroll along boardwalks, keep a lookout for mudskippers, hermit crabs, monitor lizards, otters, dusky leaf monkeys and long-tailed macaques. You can also climb towers for bird-watching. If you're lucky, you may spot the egret, woodpecker, bulbul, heron and many more.

Gemia Island located about 800 metres away from Kapas Island. Transport is by boat and it takes 15 minutes to get there from Marang Jetty.

If you are a lover of sea sports, activities such as kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing and squid fishing are available.
