Fried Mee Hoon

Gunung Rapat Fried Noodle is dubbed one of the hidden gems of Gunung Rapat. Some of the words used by customers to describe the fried noodles of this stall are mouthwatering, nostalgic and full of ‘wok hei'. The compliments are the result of the owner's determination to stir-fry noodles with charcoal fire.

Some of the must-try for dinner at Gunung Rapat Fried Noodle are fried keow teow and fried mee hoon. While there are a few fried noodle stalls at Gunung Rapat, make sure you go to this one at the road side. Location: Persiaran Gunung Rapat 6, Gunung Rapat, 31350 Ipoh, Perak.

Nissin Taisho Fried Noodle Yakisoba Flavor Instant Noodle ( Hong Kong ) Here's another one from Nathan in Canada! Some Nissin I've not seen before! That's one of my favorite things – and Nissin makes a good yakisoba – I really liked that one on the top ten – the one with the mayonnaise.

So let's delve into this one. The noodles were great – a little chewy and tasted very much like the yakisoba I've had that Nissin makes before, except there's nothing with it – no veggies, a little dry… But tastes awesome. Very good stuff –

Tuck Kee

The list would not be complete without Tuck Kee which is another fried noodle specialist. Though its name is synonymous to the best ‘Wat Dan Hor' of Ipoh, personally Tuck Kee is more than just that one dish. All their variety of fried noodles are at the level best and irresistibly yummy.

Serves only at dinner time, do factor in some waiting time when you go to Tuck Kee. While you are waiting, you can also try their appetizer such as steam squid and braised chicken feet that are yummy too. Location: 61, Yau Tet Shin, 30300, Ipoh, Perak.
