Tread Wear Indicator

I for one, usually replace my tyres even before the tread wears down to their tread wear indicator, as research has shown that a tyre's braking performance diminishes considerably even though the depth of the tread pattern is still within legal limits. So when it was time to replace my set of Goodyear Excellence tyres, I decided to give the Bridgestone Ecopia EP200 a try.

I have had a brief experience with the Ecopia EP200 back in 2013, at the Bridgestone Proving Ground in Ayutthaya, Thailand, and came back pretty impressed with it.

Tyre's characteristics: factors such as fuel efficiency, longevity and a quiet ride are key for everyone's future. That is why we were creating “green” tyres even before any standards were in place and why our worldwide technology centre continually investigates new approaches to sustainability.

Consumers are also buying less. A car tyre is traditionally changed after about 35,000km.

But many people are pushing another 10,000km on the road simply because they cannot afford to get all four tyres changed at once. Loke said each car has a tread wear indicator that will appear as the tyre wears down, which is usually at about 1.5mm.

Tread Wear Indicator

"It's up to you to regularly check the condition and tread wear of your tyres. Don't replace your tyres just because your mechanic says so.

More often than not, your tyres have plenty of tread left and your mechanic is just trying to sell you tyres you don't need.Every tyre has a small arrow on the sidewall to indicate the location of the tread wear marker. If the tread wear indicator is flush with your tyre's contact patch, it's time to replace it. However, if there is a sufficient amount of tread left, your tyres can still be used.

It is important to check the tyre tread wear: Another important part is checking the tread wear on the regular basis. Car drivers should always give attention to their tread level.

This can be done by using the tread wear indicator. The tread wear indicators indicated whether or not you need to replace your tyre. When the tread depth is lower than the minimum legal tread value, then it's time to change your tyre.

Things Know Before You Refinish

Things to Know Before You Refinish Your Wood Floors.Ask whether you need a full refinishing.Every generation wears down the finish with spills, drops, grit tracked in on shoes, shifting furniture, and worst of all, the scrabbling claws of family pets. The good news is that the damage usually isn't permanent.

Most wood floors can be refinished, which involves sanding away a paper-thin layer off the top and then mopping on three coats of clear polyurethane finish.

Ceramic Coating

I actually paid a deposit for ceramic coat 3 layer with interior but held off for now due to the fact that the dealer gave a complimentary ceramic coat. It was called Gyneon Quartz and done by regal valet. There is an annual maintenance I was told, around $250.

I've used Opti Coat / Optimun Coating before and not too pleased with the results especially the water spot marks. I must say I'm pretty impressed with ceramic coating. I'll be doing the full ceramic pro coating within 3 -6months time.

Good Set

As the owner of an Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio, I was pretty impressed by the 280hp Alfa Stelvio Sport, but would prefer driving a Ti Sport to see how it feels on 20" wheels and tires. To me, it was impressively quick at speed, but a tad soft taking corners.

Nothing a good set of stiffer sway bars can't improve though. Debating getting one for Winter and inclement weather driving.
