A convertible 2-in-1 design makes this far more flexible than the average laptop. Overall performance lags slightly behind the best systems we reviewed.

The HP Spectre x360 15t is a capable laptop in its own right, but it will turn heads with its sleek convertible design that lets it do double duty as a tablet. The HP Spectre x360 15t is the 15-inch variant of HP's impressive Spectre x360 line, which combines all the elements of a top-rated laptop with the extra flexibility of a 360-degree dual-axle hinge.

Hp Spectre X360 15t

HP Spectre x360 15t with standard Intel HD Graphics 520 or the slightly better Intel Iris Graphics 540, which offers something closer to the performance you would get from a dedicated graphics card. The standard display has full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, but this can be upgraded to an impressive 4K ultra HD panel with 3840 x 2160 resolution.

Both displays offer touch support, which is essential for tablet use. The sound offered by the flipping and folding laptop should also be quite good, thanks to four built-in speakers featuring Bang & Olufsen sound.

Hp Spectre X360 15t

HP Spectre x360 15t. Whether you use it as a laptop or a tablet (or something in between) you'll find that the system delivers pretty good performance and a decent feature set.

The base model is outfitted with an Intel Core i5-6200U processor, which is capable enough for most day-to-day use, but if you want better, faster performance, it can also be equipped with an Intel Core i7-6560U. You can also choose between 8GB of RAM or 16GB.

Hp Spectre X360

The HP Spectre x360 convertible laptop is outfitted with three USB 3.0 ports, one miniDisplayPort and an HDMI output, as well as a USB-C port. While it doesn't offer the same sort of Thunderbolt 3 support as some of the best laptops we reviewed, it's still a nice addition that helps future-proof the system as USB-C gains more popularity.

Since it's built to double as a tablet, all networking on the Spectre x360 is wireless, with 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

Yoga 900 series has, until now, ranked among our favorite laptops. The Lenovo Yoga 910 with a thin and light design. Seventh-generation Core i7 processor comes standard. Mostly comfortable typing experience.

Lots of fan noise. Heavier than the new HP Spectre x360. 13.9-inch screen. Though higher end configurations have 4K. The laptop never got hot on the underside.

Hp Spectre X360

Because HP Spectre x360 designed to be held and used in more mobile scenarios than the average laptop, the system features sturdy all-metal construction, making it one of the slimmer laptops we reviewed. While 15-inches might make it too bulky to comfortably use as a tablet on the go, it's a good option to have when you want it.

It's also lighter than the heaviest competitors, weighing just 4.02 pounds. However, that's still a fair bit heavier than the lightest laptops, which utilize lightweight materials like plastic and carbon fiber to reduce the weight.

Hp Spectre X360

HP Spectre x360 storage is limited to solid-state drives (SSDs) since the lack of moving parts makes them better suited to the mobile nature of the 2-in-1 design. The standard option gives you a decent 256GB of storage space, and you can upgrade this to 512GB.

While this is relatively small when compared to laptops that offer a full terabyte of storage space, traditional hard drives aren't well suited to on-the-go-use, and a full terabyte of solid-state storage would be prohibitively expensive.
