The LG Gram 15 display is surrounded by very narrow screen bezels, which allows the laptop to boast a 15-inch display in a chassis that measures just 14.08 x 8.99 x 0.66 inches. The slim design also features magnesium-alloy construction, weighing in at a svelte 2.16 pounds.

It's the lightest laptop in our lineup, and it's less than half the weight of the several 5 pound laptops we reviewed. The narrow display bezels necessitate some creative design, so LG places the laptop's webcam in the hinge, centered below the display.

The LG Gram 15 is equipped with one USB-C port, along with more standard features like two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, an HDMI output and an Ethernet port. Instead of a full-size SD memory card slot, like those you would find on other laptops, LG opted to put a microSD card slot on the Gram 15.

While this does let you use the microSD card from your phone or tablet on the laptop without needing an adapter, it also means you won't be able to use standard SD card sizes, like those used in most cameras. There is no adapter that will make a full-size card work with a microSD card slot.

LG offers two configurations of the LG Gram 15. The first, which was the focus of our evaluation, is outfitted with an Intel Core i5-6200U with 8GB of RAM, a 256GB solid-state drive (SSD) and Intel HD Graphics 520, Intel's current integrated graphics solution.

For a bump up in price, LG also offers a second configuration, with an Intel Core i7-6500U and a 512GB SSD, boosting both performance and storage capacity, but otherwise identical.

The LG Gram 15 is a good laptop computer in its own right, with decent components and a useful feature set, but when you compare laptops side by side, it's also the best lightweight laptop in our lineup of top 15-inch models. The magnesium-alloy design and narrow-bezel display make for an impressive thin and light laptop that offers better portability than the best laptop computers in our review.

The LG Gram 15 15.6-inch display has standard 1920 x 1080 full HD resolution, and it uses an IPS display, which should offer wide viewing angles and fairly good color accuracy. While that standard is fine for day to day use, we are disappointed there is no higher-resolution option available.

LG offers software presets for the display, letting you switch to Reader Mode or Movie Mode to customize the output for specific uses. Reader Mode aims to reduce eyestrain with a slightly warmer color palette, while Movie Mode tweaks the color and contrast settings to bring out color and detail a bit more.

The LG Gram 15 is one of the first laptops from the appliance maker, and takes a special place as the lightest laptop in our lineup. While it has a few drawbacks that keep it from ranking alongside the top-rated laptops, it's still a solid performer, and the draw of extra portability is attractive.

Not Bad for a Serta-ish Mattress. We had a spring mattress that was causing back problems, went to 100 stores and looked at the memory foam options, then decided to buy this one because it was less than half the price. The one caveat is - the mattress says it's Serta but it's not really.

At first glance, the Apple iPad Air 2 is closer to a refresh than a dramatic upgrade of its predecessor. The tablet computer has the same slim design and aluminum backing used on the first iPad Air.

Samsung's 4Way Cassette S is now lighter in weight at 17kg. It is the lightest indoor unit in the industry, about 35 lighter than the conventional products.Samsung was the first to apply ABS cabinets into its indoor units to provide the lightest units.
