Hong Kong Hot Pot

Hong Kong Hot Pot, Bangsar. Pumpkin soup & Sakura pork bone soup.

We had the sakura pork bone soup and the pumpkin soup (RM30 – per pot), which is slightly on the higher price point but both the broths are good. I have yet to try their ma la soup so that warrants another visit. The décor is fashioned to feel as though you're in Hong Kong, minus the part where the waiter passes you the bill as an indication to “get out” once you're done with your meal.

Hong Kong Hot Pot, Bangsar. Prawn meat paste.

Do try the prawn meat paste (RM10 per portion), which is made daily and adds sweetness to the broth. I'm generally not big on vegetables when it comes to steamboat but when the broth is this good, you've got to order more to soak up the goodness. We had watercress (RM8), yau mak (RM8) and needle mushroom (RM8).

Hong Kong Hot Pot

Hong Kong Hot Pot, Bangsar. We ordered a full portion of the sakura premium pork slice (RM18) which was great for dipping into the already tasty broth.

The first time I was there, they ran out of this. Though half a portion of the mushroom pork meat ball (RM10) and prawn dumpling (RM9) was sufficient for the three of us, the greedy girl in me wished we got a whole portion. Both were good and I really liked now the meatball tasted like what I tried in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Hot Pot

Hong Kong Hot Pot, Bangsar. Service is friendly but at times slow; I reckon that's my only gripe about the place.

There is apparently only one sauce tray so it's best to pile your saucer high with the dipping sauces you want before they remove the tray from your table and pass it on to the next table in line. Of course, please don't take more than you can eat as it's not good to waste quality stuff.

Hong Kong Hot Pot

Hong Kong Hot Pot in Telawi Square Bangsar is relatively new but it's often packed when it opens for business at night. It was my second visit to this small establishment – without a booking, you might have to wait for a table.

I've been wanting to return since my first visit slightly over a month ago as the ingredients are freshly made and broth, delicious.

Pork Bone Soup

Coco Steamboat 海底炉. Overall, I do acknowledge their soup based was really delicious and all their seafood is truly fresh. Not to forget their homemade prawn ball and mackerel ball were tangy and tasty too.

As for the price, I would say it is fair because it cost about RM40/pax. it's still a satisfying steamboat experience and we enjoyed the pork bone soup a lot. At the end of the meal, the soup becomes super tasty but not salty, which is why we were able to drink a lot of it without getting thirsty.

Pork Bone Soup

Senthai & Mookata (Thai Steamboat) @ Bandar Menjalara. To keep the tradition alive, charcoal is used as the heat source and also to impart extra flavor into the meat.

For steamboat, the food is cooked in a copper hot pot that took no time to get the soup hot and boiling. Pork bone soup @ RM17 was recommended to us, as it's prepared using the chef's Thai-influenced secret recipe. The taste is actually quite similar to tom yum, minus the intense acidity and spiciness and a lot more aromatic.

Compact Form Factor

Nest is considered a luxury brand for many reasons first of which would be the higher price. Another reason would be the build quality, features and support. Nest Cam Security Camera offers full HD image quality in a compact form factor.

It is extremely small and can be placed literally anywhere inside the house. The model can be controlled from regular smartphones and takes only a couple of minutes to setup. As a bonus the manufacturers offer a 30 day trial for their cloud services that allows the storage to be saved on their servers.
The Higher Price - Memory Foam

Memory Foam

Mattress Pad - Memory Foam Materials. Dense, low-viscosity “memory foam” mattress pads provide superior support and comfort, but they hover on the pricey side. Consumers who opt for memory foam can choose their thickness.

A two-inch thick foam pad should suffice for most people, but you'll also see three- and four-inch memory foam pads in stores and online. Aside from the higher price, the main drawback of memory foam is excessive body heat retention. The biggest advantage of this material is the additional support and comfort it provides.

Norway Salmon Fish Head Noodles

Wat to eat in Kepong. On my another visit to Norway Salmon Fish Head Noodles, I tried the prawn noodles. The medium-sized prawns are very fresh and tasty.

As a prawn lover myself, I approve this bowl of prawn noodles to my list of favourite prawn dishes. One bowl of Prawn noodles comes with 6 medium sized prawns, for RM 16. Norway Salmon Fish Head Noodles is located behind Brem Mall where you can find the zinc roof stall. There are many parking spaces along the main road.
