Thin Layer
Cafe Komugi tart hokkaido cheese tart (rm 6.90) the crust was of the shortbread cookie buttery and crumbly sweetness and the filling reminded me of a key lime pie but mellowed by the sweetness and creaminess of the cheese. definite a significant punch of acidity of the lemon zestiness from the smooth cheese filling, sprinkled with powdered sugar and topped with a fresh raspberry. hidden between the cheese filling and the crust was a thin layer of reduced raspberry sauce lining the inner pie tart crust but it didn't do much for the tart.

Never Get Bored
French Toast is still an all time favorite when come to breakfast selection menu. You will never get bored with it. This is another recipe that I learned from my Home Science Class and also my family top 5 breakfast menu. My children love it with maple syrup and blueberry jam. I sometimes add some cinnamon powder in the eggs batter. French Toast is very accommodating. You can add spices to the eggs and milk mixture, like cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, orange or lemon zest or even orange flower water, others prefer cream or even buttermilk. it will soak up the egg mixture. Once you have cooked the French Toast there is always the question of how it should be served. Many just like to sprinkle a little powdered sugar over the top while others like it with pure maple syrup. As a brunch di

Bananas and Brioche will make you say oui oui to this breakfast-anytime French Toast. The thick, rich brioche bread dipped in a lightly sweetened vanilla batter and cooked to perfection serves as the perfect bed for fresh sliced bananas warmed with classic New Orleans Foster's buttery-brown sugar glaze. Then, powdered sugar and whipped topping create the finishing touches!

Lower Ground Floor
My girlfriend introduced to me Jonker Sweets Dessert stall some time ago and I have been hooked since. The stall is located at Lower Ground floor Gardens Mall.
It has my all time favorite tong sui - black glutinous rice or hak lo mai. They also have a variety of other tong sui, ice kacang and fruit lolo (ice shavings topped with fresh fruits and sago).
Tong sui is priced at MYR 3.30 a bowl. Fruit lolo starts from MYR 6.50 onwards and they have a few varieties to choose from. I would say that the price is decent for the serving size and in a shopping mall.

Cream Cheese
If you've got a passion for crepes sweet and savoury, there's only one place you should go and that'd be Strangers at 47. If you like the big breakfast, go for the BBC (RM23), which puts a crepe-themed twist on a crowd favourite. A sunny-side-up, crisp hash brown, diced chicken chorizo (Spanish sausage), and subtle sauteed greens are paired with a light and fluffy wholemeal crepe. Their sweet selections are equally as inventive. The Red Riding Hood (RM11) features a decadent red velvet-flavoured crepe with a cream cheese filling and an extra crunch from crushed coffee beans.
