Skim coat is a specially formulated cementitious skim coat plaster suitable for plastered on concrete surfaces for internal skimming only. It's designed to provide a smooth durable finish with excellent adhesion strength.

The surface can be either brushed or trowelled finished to meet stringent architectural requirements.

The process of skim coat plaster. A skim coat is a technique to repair or smooth a damaged or uneven walls. The material used for skim coat is call joint compound and the painter normally use a thin coat of joint compound to apply on the wall.

We can skim coat technique on plaster walls, plaster ceiling, concrete walls or concrete ceiling. The painter will used trowel or putty knife to spread the joint compound evenly over a rough wall or ceiling. The painter will need to apply at least 3 layer before the wall or ceiling surface is smooth.
