Jalan Bunga Raya

Cockle stalls in Jalan Bunga Raya (longkang siham) Strange, but all they have in order to cook this tasty food are two pots of boiling water, a few strainers and a chopping board. While waiting for your food, you can try one of the different sauces or eat seashells.

It's a little bit exotic way to eat for tourists and a great way to have quick and delicious lunch in Malacca. Among seashells there is a star dish like Cuttlefish with Kangkung (can be ordered either with boiled or grilled cuttlefish) and, of course, the fat and bloody cockles It's actually cheap to eat like this and you can enjoy a lot of different seafood there. Each plate of cockles/lala/snail costs flat RM1.50.

Fried Oysters Oh yeah, it's called “fried oyster omelet” too – due to the big amount of eggs. Oysters are fresh and although not big in size, the generous amount makes up for it.

As for myself, I got to say that I enjoyed eating it. The eggs are simply delicious, and I actually care about the oysters – I just loved them. Fried oysters can be found in some Melaka food courts and the one that I like most is at the stall in Bunga Raya Food Court Location Jalan Bunga Raya, Melaka 75100 Dir

The best and always fresh Chinese food in Malacca is here – on small stalls right in front of Madam's King Emporium Don't forget to buy and try: zhu you zha popiah BBQ sotong; sotong and kangkung; fish balls; fried bean curd skin; prawn crackers

Jalan Bunga Raya

Drive along Jalan Bunga Raya in Pasir Pinji and you will see a few food trucks there. There are two chendol stalls, one by an Indian uncle and another one by 2 Chinese uncle. We picked the latter and had a cooling bowl of dessert in the sweltering heat.

Their cendol includes red beans, gula melaka and chendol strips with pandan fragrance. They are always famous for their “Wan Tau Long” jelly or Yellow Jelly which is perfect for the hot weather. This stall opens in the afternoon only, and does not have fixed rest days.

Jalan Bunga Raya

Jalan Bunga Raya for another well known oyster omelette (pronounced as Oh Chien in Hokkien Language) among the locals for generations. Located in Medan Makan Boon Leong. Looks delicious, but taste ok only.

The oysters were small, starchy with the amount of flour being poured inside. Dry chilies were spicy, but nothing more than that, no fragrance at all. Skip this if you are in town, not worth the time. Another overrated Malacca food.

El Gusto De Espana

EL GUSTO DE ESPANA @ THE BARN, PAVILION, KL. 100% Jamon Ibérico de Belotta would be a perfect sharing dish to those that like slightly heavy taste of meat as it is cured for 36 months and a very nice cut of dry meat.

Of course, I would love to have this with my dry red wine or super chilled white to pair with it.

Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ Cuisines Japanese Overall Rating: 8/10. I had a pretty great meal here today - some fantastic; some pleasant.

I would definitely return for a hot dose of Tofu Chige Soup and Black Sesame ice cream too. The other dish that I would like to recommend but not showcased in this post today - Ishiyaki Mentaiko (Rm20.90).

5 Reasons Why Your First Date Should Be At The Bee. The Nachos and The Bee Sliders (mini versions of their in-house burger) are awesome finger food that you and your date can cosy up with each other while sharing. LIGHT IT LIKE THE MOVIES.

When planning on where to take your date, think ambience first before anything else! Why? Because between ordering and waiting for your food, there is all that time which you have to sit, stare and be evaluated (we are visual creatures after all). Having said that, one cannot stress how important is it to take your date somewhere with flattering lighting.
