GEM Island Resort. This small private island is not as popular as its neighbour - Kapas Island but it's definitely a hidden gem. Despite being pretty close to the mainland, the water is crystal clear.

A 15-minute boat ride from Marang jetty will get u there. Kayaking in the morning when the sea is calm would be your best bet to look at the corals around the island. You can also opt for snorkeling via boat or just swim from the shore. I stayed at the water villa, the balcony opens up with a view of the beautiful sea facing Kapas Island.

Jacuzzi Spa With its convenient location, Gem Island can be reached by a scenic drive along the East coast road or a swift flight, either by Air Asia, Malaysia Airlines, Firefly or Malindo Air to Kuala Terengganu (TGG) -From the airport, a 30 – 40 minutes drive by road to Marang Jetty and then a 15 minutes boat ride to the private island resort. Gem Island Resort & Spa houses a restaurant that serves Local, Chinese and Western cuisine with fine wines and liquors to accompany meals.
