Taps Beer Bar
When a meeting landed us at TAPS Beer Beer, I didn't bother toning down my obvious delight. I got into craft beer ages ago, when the only couple of options in what was such a niche category were Sierra Nevada and Fat Tire. Not bragging; just establishing legitimacy!
The beer selection at TAPS is pretty impressive and definitely interesting, and someday will probably even be excellent. For now, I'm loving the Japanese Hitachino presence (signage everywhere!) though I was mildly disappointed that they were out of Hitachino Nest White Ale the night we were there.
But it all worked out because I was forced to try something new. The Barbãr Belgian Honey Ale rose to the occasion with its floral, citrus, and golden honey notes. And at 8% ABV, it packed a bit of a punch!

Sliced Pork Meat

Sliced Pork Meat
The Beer Factory Guinness Bak Kwa. Perfect for The Uncle Who's Been Working Tirelessly. The finely sliced pork meat that's been marinated in malted barley gives it a bitter sweet taste, making it the best thing to chew on while he catches up with his children and reminisces of the good ol' days. If anything, this box of bak kwa might even give him a boost of positive energy, making him feel cheerful and appreciated throughout the festive season!
