Solid Hardwood Flooring
Engineered Hardwood vs Solid Hardwood Flooring. Solid hardwood is a solid piece of flooring made by hardwood, all the way through and through. Engineered, however, is made by a thinner layer of hardwood on top (mostly Oak, with thickness of 2, 3, 4 and 6 mm) and underneath there are several layers of other different woods in which the grains are attached with a 90 degree angle together and crisscrossing all the way through, glued and compressed very tightly.

Google Nexus 9
Google Nexus 9 tablet a real focus on productivity here: Google is also releasing a keyboard attachment that “magnetically attaches to the Nexus 9, folds into two different angles and rests securely on your lap like a laptop.” So all at once, Google and HTC are going after both the Microsoft Surface and the huge number of consumers who seek aftermarket keyboards for Apple's iPad line. The Nexus 9 certainly isn't cheap, especially compared to Amazon's cutthroat pricing but seems like a solid piece of hardware meant to fully showcase Android L's work and play capabilities.

Engineered Wood Floors
Wood Flooring
It's hard to match the natural appeal of real wood flooring -- it has a depth and warmth that adds beauty to any style of décor. While there are dozens of types of hardwood used for flooring, some of the most popular are ash, walnut, oak and maple.
The two basic types of wood flooring are solid and engineered wood. Solid wood floors are a solid piece of wood from top to bottom, while engineered wood floors are manufactured using three to nine layers of different wood veneers.

Solid Piece Wood
Solid wood is just what is sounds like,a piece of wood, chopped and shaped from a tree which has rings, splits, and weaknesses. A solid piece of wood runs with or against the grain, which means that grain is a weak point where the wood may split or break. Laminated wood is wood that has been cut into thin layers, then glued together with the grain running parallel in each layer.
