Some unknown brands can put whatever they want. Some calculate thread count in metric and don't tell you how many ply. Best is to feel it with your own hand. Those more than 500 thread counts per square inch is bullshit. Best material is Eyptian cotton but now that also bullshit already cause not all Eyptian cotton are the long strand type.
