Mr Tong started his career in food service in the 1960s as a road side hawker in Singapore. Later on in the 1970s, he upgraded with a group of friends into the coffee shop business.

Then in the 1990s, he started the 933 chain, best known for its roast duck and herbal salted chicken. Finally in 1997, genius took over and Golden Pillows were born.Concocted with the assistance of a professional baker, Mr Tong says that Golden Pillows are made with the finest pastry-quality wheat and butter along with just the right mix of spices for the curry.
