Better Make Sure

Malaysian's Favourite Cakes. Creamy, rich, and extremely sinful – we had better make sure to consume only calorie-worthwhile Cheese Cakes.

The ones in Souka, Artisan Roast and Nosh is definitely worth every kcal. Albeit being one of the most popular cakes, Cheese Cakes can be an acquired taste for a large portion of the Malaysian population. For those who do not like rich cheese cakes, do try the ones from RT pastry which are light Japanese style – more fluffy and light in terms of texture.

Doesn't Seem

Yeast Pastry House 伊士多面包菓子工房> in Malacca which was opened somewhere around last year seem to be popular recently, even though I had been passed by it repeatedly before then, yet it was my first visit to this pastry house. It doesn't seem much different with the other bakery houses in Malaysia from the outside.

Unending stream customers come and go with a sack of swiss rolls, cakes, buns, puffs, and various pastries...There surely more to be discovered compares with other bakery I supposed.

the two pastry artists behind the komugi krone. what i first thought the pastry to have mimicked the italian cannoli, the komugi krone turned out to be inspired by its italian counterpart - the coronet / cornet. just as the creators have aptly described it, the exterior was not cookie-like as as it would have been as a cannoli but more of a twirled tube of crispy shell yet airy and soft towards the inner
