Testing From Colleagues Laptop Mag

The Google Nexus 9 speedy processor can handle work or games. The tablet has average battery life.

The Nexus 9 is a reliable high-end tablet, but its solid design is hampered by some build-quality hiccups. Google's flagship Android tablet computer has an impressive combination of performance and design. Benchmark testing from our colleagues at Laptop Mag found that the Nexus 9's 2.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor provided respectable performance.

Tablet Loops Through Webpages Constant

During its evaluation, in which a tablet loops through webpages at a constant brightness until the battery dies, the Google Nexus 9 only lasted for seven hours and 42 minutes; battery life under eight hours is usually only seen on budget tablets. During our hands-on testing, the Nexus 9's 2048 x 1536 display handled tasks like displaying text and playing high-definition videos exceptionally well.

In Laptop's benchmarking, the display's brightness rating of 371 nits was more than Top Ten Reviews' average of 347 nits.

No Better Way Experience

Google Nexus 6 is a supersized version of the new Moto X that has been given a two-handed booster shot and appropriately received a post-surgery Lollipop. The results? It's among the best phones to date.

This phablet-sized smartphone is the first to run Android 5.0 Lollipop and, really, there's no better way to experience all of the changes Google has made to its operating system. It parades the colorful new Material Design interface on a massive 6-inch display, moves seamlessly between apps thanks to the latest Snapdragon processor and 3GB of RAM, and lasts all day in most cases with a Qi-chargeable 3220 mAh battery. These Nexus 6 specs are enough to edge-to-edge out Apple's mighty iPhone 6 Plus. It feels better to hold in my hand, and typing is easier thanks to Androids always-superior keyboards options.

Ipad Air 2

Google Nexus 9 vs Apple iPad Air 2. The Google Nexus 9 remains in the running with the best tablets thanks to its superb performance ceiling.

Still, its build quality issues keep it a step behind premium tablets. The Nexus 9's position as Google's definitive tablet is an upside, but these gains are offset by mixed battery life and operating system issues.

Iphone 6s Plus

NEXUS 6P VS IPHONE 6S PLUS Google decided to take its Nexus smartphone line down a new path with the Nexus 6, a premium device that unfortunately featured a price tag to match its quality. Continuing on that path, the Nexus 6P is the most premium Nexus device yet, and comes at a lower price tag than its predecessor. In the other camp is the latest large display smartphone from Apple.

Even though this is an “S” year for the series, this device strays for the standard formula by bringing to the table some new and useful additions and upgrades. How does these large display flagships compare? We find out, in this comprehensive look at the Nexus 6P vs iPhone 6S Plus!

Google Nexus 9

Google Nexus 9 tablet a real focus on productivity here: Google is also releasing a keyboard attachment that “magnetically attaches to the Nexus 9, folds into two different angles and rests securely on your lap like a laptop.” So all at once, Google and HTC are going after both the Microsoft Surface and the huge number of consumers who seek aftermarket keyboards for Apple's iPad line. The Nexus 9 certainly isn't cheap, especially compared to Amazon's cutthroat pricing but seems like a solid piece of hardware meant to fully showcase Android L's work and play capabilities.

Nice Balance Between

The Nexus 5 strikes a nice balance between an acceptable screen size for an Android device in 2013 (4.95 inches) and feeling comfortable to hold in everyday use. The rubbery coating on the rear of the device definitely helps here.

It handles photos and HD video capably. Although its pixel density is slightly lower than the HTC One's 469ppi, that's only really noticeable if you squint – this is a perfectly good 1080p display and incredibly easy on the eye.

Living Room

Nexus Player Android TV's The living room has proved to be a challenge for Google. The company which has been so successful in dominating so many of the screens we interact with on a daily basis - our computers, phones, and tablets - has perversely struggled for that most traditional of displays, the humble TV.

Google TV was flabby and confusing; the axe fell on the Nexus Q before it even went on sale. Only the Chromecast has had any measure of success, and yet just when we thought Google might have a strategy, along comes a different platform again, Android TV. Running first on the Nexus Player, but set to spread to smart TVs from numerous manufacturers, it's Google's fourth lounge reboot, but is it really necessary?
