Kampar Curry Chicken Bread

Kampar Curry Chicken Bread Kampar curry chicken bread is a kind of bread..big loaf of bread stuffed with probably half a chicken inside. It is the invention from Kampar, another town located in the state of Perak.

I remember that it was such a hit among the locals and tourists when it was first introduced and people would queiung up to try this delicacy. It looks quite an ordinary bread besides its gigantic size but when you cut the bread open, you will find these delicious curry chicken wrapped in parchment paper or aluminium foil inside the bread. Unlike the normal curry chicken buns, the filling has to be wrapped with paper or foil otherwise the curry gravy would leak out from the dough and i dont think we can actually shape the dough without wrapping the chicken first.

KAM LING RESTAURANT No 105 & 107, Jalan Idris, 31900 Kampar, Perak, Malaysia. Telephone: 605-466 1174, or 6016-533 2226, 6016-551 1174. The Curry Chicken Bun One of Kampar's most recognized food icon is The Curry Chicken Bun (Roti Kari Ayam/面包鸡). It's a big loaf of bread with curry chicken inside it.

There are two restaurants in this small town that sell The Curry Chicken Bun. YAU KEE is the restaurant who started to sell this dish, and even expand it to other town. But Kam Ling Restaurant had gained more positive words-of-the mouth, and recommendation from various media. Comparing the experience at Yau Kee and Kam Ling, Kam Ling restaurant's curry where not as thick as Yau Kee's curry.

French Toast

Is there nothing better than French toast for Sunday breakfast? Thick slices of bread, soaked in a mixture of beaten eggs with milk and cinnamon, toasted in a frying pan, and served with butter and maple syrup, this has to be one of our favorite, and most indulgent, breakfast dishes.

French toast comes out best if you work with thick slices of French or Italian loaf bread that are several days old. That way they've had a chance to firm up, which will make the slices hold up better when you dip them in the egg milk mixture and fry them. Thin slices of fresh bread tend to fall apart or get mushy when you do this.
