LG offers two configurations of the LG Gram 15. The first, which was the focus of our evaluation, is outfitted with an Intel Core i5-6200U with 8GB of RAM, a 256GB solid-state drive (SSD) and Intel HD Graphics 520, Intel's current integrated graphics solution.

For a bump up in price, LG also offers a second configuration, with an Intel Core i7-6500U and a 512GB SSD, boosting both performance and storage capacity, but otherwise identical.

HP Spectre x360 15t with standard Intel HD Graphics 520 or the slightly better Intel Iris Graphics 540, which offers something closer to the performance you would get from a dedicated graphics card. The standard display has full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, but this can be upgraded to an impressive 4K ultra HD panel with 3840 x 2160 resolution.

Both displays offer touch support, which is essential for tablet use. The sound offered by the flipping and folding laptop should also be quite good, thanks to four built-in speakers featuring Bang & Olufsen sound.
