Houzz Interiors are limited to gypsum board walls (painted white), with the exception of the wall finishes within the central living & dining room area, where the stucco from the exterior is continued inside, providing a subtle textural variation contrasting with the smoother forms on the ceiling. Clear maple flooring is used throughout the interior.

Houzz This living room is a multi-purpose space. We removed the original walnut paneling from the back of TV area and added gypsum board which we painted white to bring lightness to the wall.

The fireplace surround and hearth was replaced with a large format Italian ceramic tile to freshen up the existing wood burning fireplace.

Some of the Limestone pieces are so heavy (mainly the mantel & crown molding pieces) that metal anchors & straps are used to firmly secure the Limestone pieces to the wall. Limestone is very soft and porous which makes it easier for carving but you have to make sure to seal the stone 3 times to protect against stains.

Houzz General info...Remove stone hearth and mantel so both are flush with brick surface. Paint stone area around fireplace FLAT BLACK.

Place wood vertically on outside edge of brick wall and cover with gypsum board/plywood G1S.
