Bobbi Brown Double Lining Eyeshadow Bobbi Brown says its Double Lining Eyeshadow is a key part of creating one of makeup artist Brown's signature looks (the "double lining" technique). So, is it going to change the way you apply your eyeshadow? Probably not, but aside from a couple of flaws, these powder shadows have a lot going for them! Double Lining Eyeshadows are packaged in a small, black compact with a see-through window on the lid.

It's the same packaging as the brand's other powder eyeshadows, and doesn't have "Double Lining" written anywhere on the compact or the box it comes in. So what's the difference between these shadows and Brown's other offerings? We checked with the brand, and they're the same formula as their standard eyeshadows

NYX REVENGE IS INFINITE Shown below are the swatches of the eyeshadows. I found that the best way to get the most colour-payoff from these eyeshadows was to apply multiple layers of these eyeshadows on a densely-packed eyeshadow base brush, and on top of a primer. My favourites in this palette are Destiny (a warm, coppery brown), Duplicity (a warm, plummy purple) and Infinity (an almost multi-dimensional taupe-y silver).

Revelations is a beautiful crease colour for anyone with warm toned skin. Illusion (the middle blush colour) is particularly flattering and is very similar in colour to NARS' famous Orgasm blush. Overall, most of the eyeshadows were smooth and soft, but a few of the colours (Intrigue, Infinity, and Vendetta) were a little bit chalky. Make sure you apply evenly

NYX REVENGE IS INFINITE The box comes with eyeshadows, lipsticks and blushes, plus a mirror and two little booklets showing you how to achieve Emily Thorne and Victoria Grayson's signature looks. The instructions are pretty simple (I would have loved more illustrations and wish they would have named the colours to be used instead of just saying 'a light pink eyeshadow', especially since the eyeshadows in the palette are named) and they tell you how to achieve a very basic look.

MAC COOL NEUTRALS 15X EYESHADOW PALETTE I have already reviewed the Warm Neutral palette which you can read here but today's post is on the Cool Neutral Palette. The palette comes in the usual MAC Palettes which you can purchase to build your own palette the only difference between these and building your own palette is that you can not remove the eyeshadows from this as they're permanently fixed into the palette which I know some people have complained about but it honestly doesn't bother me.

Maybelline Expert wear eyeshadow- Nutmeg This is my favorite go-to brown shadow, and I use it weekly and have for about 5 years. It's crazy versatile and can be used as a brow powder, eyeliner, shadow, or even a contour (with an extremely light hand and fluffy angle brush). It's the perfect matte brown for a brown smoky eye, which I think looks better on me than grey/black, especially during the day.

It's very pigmented and has great color payoff with minimal fallout. It's not ashy or chalky, and is buildable and extremely blendable. Maybelline has discontinued this shade (for some unearthly reason) and is now impossible to find in stores. I bulked up the last time I purchased, so, I should be okay for years to come lol.

MAC COOL NEUTRALS 15X EYESHADOW PALETTE When it comes down to make up, eyes are my favourite part to play around with since you can create so many different looks and also use the eyeshadow in different ways to enhance the colour of your eyes or make the shape of the eyes appear different. There's definitely a lot more versatility when it comes to eye make up then anything else.

As you probably know I love MAC and it's hands down my favourite brand of make up, for a while now I've been building up my own MAC eyeshadow palette however when I was browsing the internet I stumbled across their already filled eyeshadows in Warm Neutral and Cool Neutral and I couldn't help but add them both to my basket.
