A beautifully landscaped swimming pool caught our attention when we were driving to the Little Farm on a Hill in Janda Baik and a bit of snooping online lead us to Enderong Resort. In no time we had three families all packed up and on the way to the fresh air of Janda Baik.

Looking at these photos brings back the lovely cool air in the morning, sleepy people wrapped in jumpers, roomful of kids snuggling under blankets sharing one iPad they were given as a bribe for half an hour of more sleep.

Weekend of Fresh Air in Enderong Resort, Janda Baik. The beautiful – and cool – pool and the surrounding streams, hills and grassy areas were like an oasis for the city kids.

They played with sticks and leaves, explored to their hearts' content – just the way us adults like to see them. You know, the way we grew up, in the olden times, as the kids would say.

The 20 minute nature trail around the estate was great fun for our nature-deprived youngsters. The price they had to pay for exploring a small waterfall and a river was a few leeches, but the novelty of the bloodsuckers was greater than the pain for most.
