Famous Malaysian Food To Try Before You Die. Taman Tun Dr Ismail Night Market (Sundays). OUG Night Market (Thursdays). What is Popiah?: This Malaysian roll usually consists of radish, bean sprouts, egg, shallots, and cabbage wrapped in a thin paper-like crepe smeared with a tasty sweet-and-savoury sauce. A scrumptious albeit potentially messy appetizer, each bite offers bursts of flavours that will leave you hungry for more.

Frisky Goat at Taman Tun Dr Ismail. A hip neighbourhood haunt that's drawing the crowds from beyond TTDI's borders, Frisky Goat whips up some of the best waffles in town. Expect some creative creations from their kitchen like the Mantastic Sandwich (RM22). Fried chicken, beef bacon, cheese, and a sunny side-up is held together by crisp waffles that yielded a light, airy bite, topped with Southwestern corn salad and maple syrup. For those with a sweet tooth, go for the classic Belgian waffle. Embellished simply with cream, maple syrup, and toasted almond flakes, the fluffy waffle stands out.

Mutiara Homes just in front of The Curve Shopping Centre / [email protected] is a residential area that holds a treasure of kindergartens and montessori pre-school. If you stay near Mont Kiara, Taman Tun Dr Ismail or Damansara Perdana, this place is a good place to start looking for a pre-school and daycare for your kids. Try driving around the area to have a look. There are at least 3 at Jalan PJU 7/12 itself. There's Peter and Jane Kindergarten just at the entrance of Jalan PJU 7/12, Young Thinkers at no 21 and Montessori Ilham at no 87.

Quartet Café | Bagels and French toasts (RM12) are the star of this cosy neighbourhood café in Taman Tun Dr Ismail. Made using brioche buns, Quartet's decadent French toasts are richer, sweeter, and creamier. For something savoury, it's a toss-up between their breakfast bagel (RM13) and the classic smoked salmon and cream cheese (RM16).

Quar/Tet, TTDI (RM12) A rather fresh, fruity kick served in a massive portion, french toast fan should definitely give this one a go — the toast is not so thick but it's super soft and satisfying. Well-garnished with fresh berry compotes, syrup and sprinkle of sugar dust on top — deeepplicious. Lorong Datuk Sulaiman 7, Taman Tun Dr Ismail 60000 Kuala Lumpur +60328576041

Unicorn Cafe Melaka – might be the best Nyonya restaurant in Melaka! Nyonya Popiah (RM5.50 set of 2 rolls). This was one of the most satisfying popiah I've had for a long time. It was lusciously stuffed with everything that matters – turnips cooked to the right degree not too soft or undercooked, beansprouts, egg and diced beancurd wrapped in a thin egg skin. The skin is lined with a film of house-made sweet sauce (tim cheong) and chilli, just enough for taste and thus not overly sweet or spicy.
