Multi Purpose Vehicle

This is our first experience of what was called a mini van, but what now is called a MPV, ( multi purpose vehicle ). We only considered the safer MPV's, Honda, Toyota and KIA, the other's were considered too much of a health hazard to their passengers.

All 3 we tested drove very well, the KIA Sedona just has had a firmer, more confident driving experience. The fuel economy of the Honda was the best of the bunch, but was let down by the poor access to the 3 row seating, very dated interior, and the price would be considerably more to get some the basic standard features of the KIA. So our choic

Three Rows Seats

Multi purpose vehicle has two or three rows of seats which serve for 6 to 8 passengers. Furthermore, due to the advances in technology, the performance of an MPV car is almost in line with the other vehicles. These vehicles use unibody construction and thus are lightweight.

Improved construction and reduced weight result in better handling and fuel economy. due to fuel economy concerns, manufacturers usually avoid putting all-wheel drive layout on them. Due to the upright body style, multi purpose vehicles have better ground clearance.

Michelin Pilot Sport

Michelin Pilot Sport 3 These are great tyres- quiet, grippy in both wet and dry conditions and not that expensive for a performance tyre either. Running on 225/45 17s, I tried these on my R34 Skyline GTT after a few years using Bob Jane Xenon Z7s and what an improvement they are, especially in the wet!

Instead of getting instant wheelspin and the tail kicking sideways as soon as I got near full boost and the car slither ing around dangerously under acceleration or cornering (even at low speed), these Michelins just keep on gripping. I feel much more confident about driving in the wet now and dry road grip is noticeably improved too. I haven't tried them on the track yet but I'm sure they would work well there too

Thread Wear Pretty Fast

Quieter than other tyres I've had. Grippier in the dry and wet. Very progressive cornering, especially for a front wheel drive. I finally had something approaching the fuel economy advertised, so I assume the rolling resistance is pretty good.

I have to say, these Dunlop SportMaxx RT tyres fit perfectly on medium-sized cars. Only concern is tread wear since the material used is soft. If only the tread wear was much slower, it would be of a desirable result. The good grip and quiet tyres makes my rides smooth, something I would look out for in a tyre. Thread wear is pretty fast.

Fuel Economy

Little effort is required to drive the Sedona. The steering is light and the van is remarkably maneuverable thanks to the 36.8-foot turning circle. Outside of the parking lot, the suspension is supple despite our Limited's 19-inch wheels, and the 276-hp 3.3-liter V-6 delivers its power with creamy indifference.

We had experienced downshifts that lacked smoothness in one Sedona, but a second example we piloted performed the same action with the silkiness of a Lexus ES350. The 3.3-liter V-6 is standard on all Sedonas, but the fuel economy varies depending on trim level. The Sedona L, LX, and EX

Front Wheel Drive

The 2016 Kia Sedona has a 3.3 Liter V6 engine that offers up to 276 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque. Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) technology is integrated into the fuel delivery system.

Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) is another feature that boosts the performance of the engine block. Sportmatic and Overdrive are some of the advanced features in this signature transmission. As expected in a minivan, the Kia Sedona comes with Front Wheel Drive (FWD).

Hydraulic Power Steering

The standard automatic transmission system in the Kia Sedona has an electronically controlled design with six gear ratios. This drivetrain configuration works well with the Hydraulic Power Steering in the L, LX and EX editions.

The Sedona SX and SXL models are equipped with a Rack Mounted Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS) for smooth handling. A towing capacity of 3,500 pounds is another notable performance attribute in this versatile Kia minivan.

Cool three ways folding mpv 2nd row with sliding door. Toyota sienta make it so easy to enter 3rd row seating.

Comparing this to the alza i drive, which only just only two ways folding.
