trip to Bukit Gambang Resort City, Kuantan. next stop was the Sungai Lembing Musuem.. mining artifacts inside! at the entrance.. lovely weather..
exactly like those in 1900s cos it drizzled a little..
Sungai Lembing was a major producer of underground tin..
a mine area even before Kuala Lumpur existed..
during heyday, the mines were the largest and deepest in the world!

KAYA BUNS & COFFEE – KEMAMAN KOPITIAM, Kuantan. Trip in Gambang Resort City can try this during tea time. The buns are grilled over charcoal to create its signature crispiness on the outside and warm fluffiness on the inside, as the butter and kaya melts away. The locally brewed coffee has a strong kick to it compared to the creamy butter-roasted Ipoh white coffee, which complements the sweet kaya generously slathered on the bun. Common to many towns across Malaysia, this combo will be a mainstay for many generations to come.

Holiday on Gambang Resort City, going to eat lunch in Kuantan, Pahang. Maybe can stop by Keropok Lekor at Pak Soh Corner to buy some keropok lekor. The keropok lekor in Pahang is slightly different to those in the northern states of Terengganu and Kelantan— the variety here is sliced and individually kneaded with flour before frying; giving it an extremely crispy outer layer, while remaining soft and fluffy inside.

Yik Kee Restaurant Karak
Yik Kee Restaurant 益記酒家 at Karak, Pahang. On the way to Bukit Gambang Resort, we dropped by at Yik Kee Restaurant at Karak to have our lunch. Yik Kee Restaurant is an old Chinese Restaurant selling Chinese dishes and dim sum. It is a good idea to eat here first before driving to Gambang as there are not many food choices there. Yik Kee Restaurant actually have a branch at Petaling Jaya with the name Sri Karak Restaurant which we always visit for its delicious durian bomb. Not a common item for dim sum, the durian bomb is a must have if you visited Yik Kee Restaurant.
