Ferguson Hill FH009 Ferguson Hill is best known for its monumental FH001 and FH002, towering horns of transparent perspex with a similarly mammoth price tag. The company broached the computer/MP3 speaker market a few years back with the markedly more affordable FH007 system, and is back again with the FH009, aiming this time at the music and home cinema market.

The premise is a setup both visually and aurally arresting; the price is a not-inconsiderable £795. Check out the full SlashGear review after the cut.

Smart Tv

Smart TV is gaining traction, but not everybody wants to upgrade every set in their house just to add native streaming support for Netflix and similar services. Philips believes it has the answer with the HMP2000, a compact Netflix adapter that also promises YouTube, Facebook and local media access for under £50 ($79).

Is this the Roku rival we've been waiting for? Check out the full review after the cut.

Samsung has an impressive track record with big-screen LED TVs, and the current 75-inch flagship UN75ES9000 aims to maintain that legacy. Packaging the smart TV functionality from the ES8000 with a few of the picture processing features best loved from 2011's D8000, all in a slim, rose gold frame, the ES9000 promises plenty; then again, so it should with a $10,000 price tag.

With a mile-long spec sheet there's plenty going on, so keep reading for the SlashGear review.

Don't Use

Korus V600 and V400 wireless speakers Korus thinks the audio market needs a new music streaming system. That's an ambitious goal: if you've been in the market for wireless audio recently, you'll undoubtedly have seen a fair few existing options, from Bluetooth (with or without aptX), WiFi, and proprietary options like Apple's AirPlay and Sonos' well-esteemed whole home systems.

Korus' two new portable speakers, the V600 and V400, don't use any of them, in fact, but is that a brave decision that pays off in performance, or simply too ambitious a challenge for one start-up to bite off? Read on for the SlashGear review.

Lot Work

Nintendo Switch, Slashgear review. Nintendo dream of hybrid gaming fully realized. Truly exciting hardware that stands out from the rest.

Fairly solid launch lineup, especially with Zelda. Accessories are far too expensive. Online systems still need a lot of work. Launch feels rushed in general.

Wide Open

Time was, if you wanted a wooly column of wireless musical pleasure, you had to train a sheep to stand upright and sing. Libratone's new Zipp, however, changes that: a wool wrapped portable speaker delivering not only Apple's AirPlay but a tweaked version intended for the wide open spaces that the Zipp - or sheep, for that matter - might go frolicking in.
