For similar reasons, there's no microSD memory card slot. Meanwhile, the useful waterproofing of previous phones has been dropped by the wayside, too. Samsung is, ironically, a victim of its own marketing success here. For the past few generations of Galaxy, the company has been happy to slam its rivals - the iPhone particularly - for not including either a removable battery or a memory card slot.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 gives up on materials trying to masquerade as other materials, and the result is not only a more rewarding design, but a more authentic one, too.

The frame is metal, curved and carved to maintain that familiar Galaxy silhouette and then finished off with an anodized finish that's smooth yet easy to grip. Front and back are topped with sheets of Gorilla Glass 4, toughened and scratch-resistant. The seams between them are near-invisible, Samsung's tolerances producing a device that looks hewn from a whole rather than assembled.

Very comparable to the Samsung Gear VR. The functionality of this set of Goggles I found to have a comfortable feel and fit, where my previous pair were hard to wear for even 30 minutes, But I find myself able to watch a full movie and comfortable being able to enjoy it than being irritable. The quality of device is has a sturdy feel with a light weight quality, good combination feels great in the hands.

Curved displays The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge wowed us with its delightfully curving dual screens earlier this year, and it's fair to say we're rather smitten with this futuristic look. No image such sultry curves on an Apple designed smartphone. We're going weak at the knees already.

Go on Apple, wrap that screen round the edges of the iPhone 7 and we'll more than likely be in love. Those things affect usability. But OTOH, who really gives a hoot about *even more* screen resolution (do you want to watch movies on the thing?), or curved glass (seriously, what difference does it make)? Surely there are more innovative, user-friendly, and genuinely *useful* features out there on the phone market that Apple might adopt (or improve on)?
