A comprehensive instrument cluster. The instrument cluster takes the form of a lightweight, brightness-adjustable LCD.

Readouts include speedometer, tachometer, odometer, dual tripmeters, gear position, coolant temperatures, driving range, average fuel consumption, instantaneous fuel consumption, traction control, and a clock. A white backlight gives great nighttime visibility. The display is flanked by LED indicators for the turn signals, high beam, malfunction, ABS, traction control, coolant temperature, and oil pressure.

During the New Honda Civic test run that lasted from the morning through to the evening we covered approximately 300 kilometres, and despite some hard driving, the 1.5 litre turbo returned an average fuel consumption of 10.1 kilometres per litre, which is highly respectable. In the hands of the average driver who drives within the speed limits, a number of around 12 to 14 kilometres per litre can be expected.

Whilst I am not a real fan of CVT's, it is undeniable that this transmission does contribute greatly to the excellent fuel economy.

MINI claims a combined average fuel consumption of 7.5 litres/100km for the Cooper S Countryman. Our test average of 9.9 litres/100km over a 318km run combining urban and highway driving.

All MINIs sold in 2016 are covered by a four-year unlimited mileage warranty in addition to a four-year / 60,000km free service package covering engine oil, oil filter, air filter, micro filter, spark plug, and brake fluids. Maintenance intervals are condition-based, meaning on-board diagnostics tell you when it's time to send your Countryman in for some tender loving care.

Everal Mercedes models, including C Class and E class from 1995 to 2003 have fading or completely dead pixels on the instrument cluster LCD display. This display normally shows the mileage, the temperature or the clock.

The pixel problem lies with the ribbon cable that connects the LCD display to the circuit board of the instrument cluster. The pictures below show the instrument cluster's LCD display before and after the ribbon cable replacement (just an example of several board computer / dashboard instrument cluster types).

The first mini PC to be unveiled takes the form of the Beelink Pocket P2 that offers a stick style design equipped with a USB 3.0 port and powered by an Intel Atom Z3735F processor supported by 2GB of RAM.

Internally the Beelink Pocket P2 includes 32GB of storage together with connectivity provided by Bluetooth 4.0 and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. If you are looking for dual channel wireless connectivity there is also the Beelink Pocket P1 stick mini PC which is equipped with the same hardware specifications and also provides dual channel Wi-Fi.

The larger Beelink mini PC takes the form of mini desktop sized system and is equipped with the same processing power yet only half of the internal storage, which takes the form of 16GB. However this system is expandable using the 2.5-inch SATA bay allowing you to add plenty for your needs.
