The Red Beanbag, Publika
Let's start with something classic. Renowned as a favourite brunch place in town, The Red Beanbag brought you one of their famous offerings called “The Classic French Toast”. Simply served in a thick, single slice of toast cooked to flawless brown colour and crispy almond flakes on top that beg to be smeared with butter, syrup and its sides, banana and strawberries compote. Yum yum.

Great Way
Broadleaf Vintage parquet is our favourite as its gently distressed patina is inherently authentic and blends seamlessly with traditional style whatever its colour. It will never look dated and is a great way to bring the current trend for greys into more traditional interiors. For a light, modern look try the pale and pretty tones of Silvered Oak; for something classic in style try the subtle bronze grey tones of Worn Oak or the muted hues of Waverley.

Cafe Komugi Slice Cakes
Cafe Komugi slice cakes tofu cheesecake (rm 11). i've moved on to the cakes and decided to start with something a little less ordinary. yup, it wasn't a typo - tofu cheesecake. a guilt-free alternative for the health conscious. definitely skeptical and a lil afraid of the outcome, i took a first bite and was taken aback for a quick moment, not quite knowing how to describe the taste.

Chinese New Year
Bak Kua from Sun Wing Heong (新永香肉干). Bak Kua! This dried meat delicacy is usually reserved for Chinese New Year but cravings are too difficult to contain sometimes. There are a few brands that sell this but Sun Wing Heong is a family favourite. Just look at these strips of porky goodness - not too hard, not too oily, and just the right level of saltiness. Yum yum yum! I sometimes like to have mine sandwiched in white bread. How do you enjoy your bak kua? Dried meat SS2, PJ.
