Kuchai Lama
HoChiak Steamboat & BBQ at Kuchai Lama. Fish soup base is the best recommendation from the owner. They do have other soups like Tom Yam, yet I strongly recommend this fish soup as this is the most highlight from them. Each soups cost RM8,00. I really enjoy having their fish soup base with my favourite steamboat. We asked for few times refill, because I can drink one whole bowl by myself!

Ah Weng Koh Hainan Tea

Ah Weng Koh Hainan Tea
Ah Weng Koh Hainan Tea Coffee at Pudu signature kaya butter toast (available in buns too) @ RM2.40 was alright. If you enjoy having thick slabs of butter in your toast then you'd definitely enjoy this.
But if I am seriously going to nitpick, the butter should be melted between the toast slices. Maybe the current generation has no idea what a really good toast is and blindly accept whatever is being served to them.

Norway Salmon Fish Head Noodles

Norway Salmon Fish Head Noodles
Norway Salmon Fish Head Noodles at Kepong (挪威三文鱼头米粉) is one of our favourite place for breakfast. What's so special here is that the salmon used for the Fish Head Noodles is Norwegian salmon fish, but this also means the price is higher than other types of Fish Head Noodles. The soup base is boiled with fish bone which is suitable for all ages including surgery patients. For the salmon, you can order salmon head or salmon fillet. Besides the salmon, you can also order prawns. There are also fish paste and fish cake. For the soup, besides the original, you can order hot & sour, curry

Cheap Bak Kut Teh

Cheap Bak Kut Teh
Very Cheap Bak Kut Teh at Geylang, Singapore. The bak kut teh here has one of the nicer and sweeter soup. The pork ribs are tender and juicy and can see that the stall owner should have cook this dish for several hours as they meat has really turned into dark brown colour. Lots of black pepper seeds are added in the soup which make it tastes slighty spicy but yet really shiok. The soup base is more towards the darker version which I believe they have use quite alot of dark soya sauce in it. The portion is quite big and generous and with a big bowl of rice serve with it.

The Most Important Elements
Pit Stops in One Utama Shopping Mall.
One may easily get confused of all the Japanese restaurants crowded together in Isetan Eat Paradise. The cream of the crop? Menya Musashi. Home to springy ramen, flavorful soup broth, perfectly poached tamago and juicy chashu – four of the most important elements for a good bowl of ramen. Most interestingly, the soup base here comes in four different flavours – onion flavoured oil, fried shallots and garlic oil, chili oil and curry oil.

Jalan Metro Perdana
HAPPY CITY STEAMBOAT RESTAURANT 快乐城海鲜火锅. My favorite soup base at Happy City is their Drunken Pot. It derives the flavor and sweetness from the various Chinese herbs used to cook it like goji berry and Chinese dates.
Seafood like red snapper, clam and tiger prawn are extremely fresh because they are picked out of the tanks alive. Quality definitely comes first here. Jalan Metro Perdana Timur 2, Kepong Entrepreneurs Park. Business hours: 5pm – 1am.
